Miro vs. Miro

Miro's Dutch Interior I at left. Miro's Dutch Interior II at right, received from Irina. Both 1928. Many years ago, did I fall in love with Miro's dreamy atmosphere? Miro's colors? Miro's motions? Perhaps the silly paintings I made back then felt at home among his, or my early writing found a match in his paintings. Then again, maybe it was only the ego of Mirona, frequently called Miro, finding her name mirrored by that of a famous painter. Joan Miro (1893-1983) once said I try to apply colors like words that shape poems... I try to apply words like colors that shape paintings. More about Miro's interiors and not only at Guggenheim and MoMa. My favourite painting below: Prades, the Village. When I strolled in his home town, Barcelona this summer, all by myself, I felt like coming back home. I felt at peace. I felt verrry Miro.
