Jessie Steele's fine hostess aprons --> tweet this send to google buzz

If I were to wear an apron while receiving and entertaing guests, it'd be something like these (via). Fine aprons, indeed, even fancy; useless at this point in my life, though, like lots of other ladies' garments and accessories that catch my eye every so often.

Yikes. Just because a model is attractive, doesn't make the clothes so.

This very much immediately and directly reminds me of the 1940s era US advertisements of the pretty little housewife so cheerful in her fashionable apron.

I can't believe what passes for buzz these days. Heh.

Oooo I love aprons and these are especially lovely. Last summer I started my daughter a collection of vintage aprons and she loves them too!

Romer!can, I do find those clothes attractive in a cheeky way. I mean, for special guests it could only be the apron, right?

It's true that they look '40ish (the business belongs to a mother and daughter inspired by... the grandmother!), and that makes them cute and somewhat kinky in my eyes. It's a retro world!

Traveller one, I'm amazed that you and your daughter are using aprons and even collecting them. I had one around for ages and just decided to give it away. Am I a bad cook?

No, perhaps you are a great cook who never makes a mess!

No, perhaps I am a great cook who makes such a mess that murdering an apron in the process would be a shame!
