mapping good mushroom soup in Bucharest

I'm crazy for mushroom soup, everyone knows. It's one of the few cooked dishes I could have once a day, everyday, without getting bored. Also, provided there is a decent variety of recipes. Of course you can cook any mushroom soup at home, but isn't it swell when you're in town and feel like having a quick, enticing meal? Unfortunately, Bucharest doesn't help me much, yet maybe my knowledge is incomplete. Here's how I see the efforts of known restaurants in town:

Divine
1. Marie Celeste: the soup even has milk foam like a cappuccino!
2. Hilton brasserie: excellent recipe and execution for years now.

Works
1. Festival 39 [RO]: my love says they've got one. I only remember the tasty potato soup.

Poisoning
1. Trattoria "Il calcio" [RO]: a rather watery concoction, and a waste of money. Sad and confusing when most of their food has stayed good ever since they were a restaurant and not a chain.

Vanished
1. Amsterdam Cafe/ TAFC: TAFC was returned to CINA this year, and Amsterdam Cafe closed for one year. God knows I loved their mushroom soup and had it plenty of times.

I believe you will agree that these are very limited choices and I hope you can add a few mushrooms to my list. I want the best this city has to offer. Image found here.

Twofer.

I didn't realize that Festival 39 served food here. The original, in Brasov, certainly does nothing of a kind.

It does, and it's tasty and good value. I haven't tried the original one in Brasov--I'm only there once a year briefly, if, and I like to go to Bella Musica, if only for their homemade nachos.

Interesting. I've eaten at Bella Muzica many times, but don't recall ever seeing nachos on the menu. It's a wonderful little place, but not every dish is authentic mexican... sometimes you get that rough approximation.

For my nickel, I'd go for the fajitas which are pretty darn close for this side of the Atlantic.

Bella Musica hasn't got Mexican food in the terms I expect, indeed. Moreso, it has Hungarian, Romanian, and international dishes as well. The nachos are on the house, they arrive warm/ hot with two dips or so, also made in the house.
