the birthday month

Approaching 31 years old and being healthy would have been amazing news for both men and women of the Middle Ages. For me, it is good news, it is proceeding according to schedule, and rarely considered to bear more meaning. I don't feel old, I don't feel wiser, and I don't feel the need to declare a lower age. If asked and rushed to answer, I would say anything in between 27 and 35, function of how I feel that moment; I can't be bothered to remember.

It is only when I look at my features in the mirror, intently, that I think about my age, making an effort to recall it. You see, my face shows nearly no wrinkle, which makes me wonder. Is it because I gained weight? Is it because the sun hasn't seen me enough? Or is it that I didn't suffer as mush as I thought? Is it because mom told me not to frown? Is it because I laugh a lot? Or is it because, all these combined, my wrinkles show on the inside?

Happy birthmonth!
I would add genes to your list and healthy habits.
I am going on 28 and have plenty of wrinkles around my eyes, but I know why. I refused for a long time to (accept that I need to) wear glasses, which made me squint a lot :( Moreover, I laugh and smile all the time, which also doesn't help.
Don't question your wrinkle-free pretty face! Enjoy it.

Many thanks! Genes, indeed--forgot those. I do have wrinkles around my eyes when I laugh. I wonder what the effect of crying is, then, maybe that's what killed most of them :) Hoping you wear your glasses whenever needed now.
