may your christmas be this bright
Tweet
I'm quiet today, opening amazing gifts, eating goodies and trying not to overeat, dozing off and finally having a couple of slices of my favourite Christmas cake in the whole world: my mother's cocoa cake following an otherwise traditional recipe she grew up with in Transylvania, and then improved over the years. From the Italian Panettone to the English Christmas pudding, from any other woman's Romanian (or Bulgarian) cake version to the poor cozonac page on Wikipedia, nothing compares to my mother's artistry. It's won countless hearts over the years, and gets a try at melting mine again today.
As I can't give you the magical cozonac, here are photos of Christmas and Winter in Bucharest.
