my manga face?, originally uploaded by gorgeoux.Tried to face my manga (face?!) the other day, seeing that it's all the rave on Twitter and such. I then received the avatar in an e-mail inviting me to buy it. Why would I? Even though a woman, I don't acquire all things cute and shiny. Plus it doesn't look manga enough, if you ask me. Plus the photo I use on all online services these days is so much more me. Strange business model, this Italian take on manga; rather ask a friend with Photoshop skills to turn your photo into a cool anime avatar.

Why buying your manga face? Because you enjoyed the 20 or 30 minutes you've spent trying to compose from scratch a copy of you in a (relative-)manga style... The use of the result I think it's not a must...
Of course, it's just theory... I also spent some time trying... and no payment at the end. I have an excuse here: none of their patterns seems to fit to my face and I'll keep both my money and my current avatar picture. :)
