I fear a new addiction

rose sinner from the lipstick queen, originally uploaded by gorgeoux. It all started with loving Mad Men, a series by AMC on advertising and life in the sixties, now half through its second season. Then the Mad Men characters began popping up on Twitter, and I've lost count of how many I followed in the past two weeks, which is entirely the opposite behaviour I had in the past two years of presence onTwitter—carefully selecting who has my ear. Imagine what a power Don Draper, Betty Draper, Peggy Olson, Joan Holloway, Roger Sterling & Co. have over me.
And only then, reading an article about the fabulous make-up of some ladies back then, I learned about the Lipstick Queen, a U.S. brand that can offer the old school matte finish—because the founder couldn't find one to buy, she started making it, goes the legend. A fast and furious search later, I discovered it in the U.K., online, thus terribly convenient, as I was still in Spain. GBP 15 a piece stopped me in my tracks briefly, but I loved the guts of pricing one's products as high as Elizabeth Arden and Christian Dior.
Turns out it arrived before me, even. So today I sinned. And the result is in the new header. A fan.
