street finds: a shinier installment

a shinier installment, originally uploaded by gorgeoux.

There is a lot of fun in this collection. Look at the teardrop glass bead. I found it one recent evening on Charlotte Street and didn't stop only to pick it up, but also to look around a bit, asking: where are the others? It was obvious to me that there'd be others, so that explains the two round glass beads. The larger green glass shaped like a flower or like a tortoise came about me on the streets of the East. The twisted silver ring on the top left corner, in Golden Square. The smallest chestnut yet, in Regent's Park. The metal swirl in between the coins, in Camden. The pink plastic bead, about Marylebone High Street, and likewise the 50p coin. The lime green ceramic bean, in Bloomsbury. The hairpins everywhere, really, and my fascination with them is not understanding how people lose them; they'd never fall from my wild hair. Altogether, a cute memory of walks about the city, fun and happy walks about the city.
