today in brief
1. Kutiman remixes YouTube into ThruYou is a kick ass project like I haven't seen in quite some time. You can literally see what you hear and hear what you see and you should check it out no matter what kind of video or audio you normally like.
2. It happened, eventually: social networking (as meaningful a term as web 2.0) is bigger than email. In usage. Nielsen reports.
3. Lately I keep hearing about photographers working in pairs, and here's the latest example: Ball & Albanese.
4. BBC News takes one good woman and makes her into a no-good Barbie to get the old point across: no woman of those proportions exists, and if she did, we wouldn't call it pretty.
5. If a website is so cluttered that you can't seem able to read it anymore, click the toolbar button of Readability and chill with your copy of interest alone, undisturbed by heavy graphics and ads. Neat concept!
6. One great mind decided that kids can stand and fidget in class (more so, it's to everyone's benefit), and another one designed the desk to go with it. A restless one.
7. The eCigarette only features here because it's a ridiculous invention. Sometimes that's enough.
8. I've been playing with Ginx lately and I like the idea and its implementation. I can see why storing one's links from Twitter conveniently is handy. Not sure I'd have time to use it though. Also, the Google-like capital G and the sound of it (jinx!) do not encourage me. If you want an invite code, follow Ginx on Twitter and make sure they know it.
9. This is not ridiculous, only unsuccessful: a website to ban Comic Sans.
10. Until I get to listen to more tracks and Huffduff some, you go ahead and play with the sounds of Ambienteer, one of many spotted recently (again!) making music and giving it away. For free.
