It's not an everyday event, and that's why when it happens, it still feels like a blessing: being able to take Zoey to the balcony, with a coffee and my smokes. I'm lucky to have very good eyesight, so I can still tell what's happening on that screen when the sun's as bright as today. I'm lucky to have received a second laptop battery that last more than than the original one (magical, no?). I'm also lucky to investigate my babies in a pondering break, though discovering today that the leaves of the maple are covered in aphids underneath was a tad of a cloud on the whole experience, bringing about half of an hour of pottering around it. Fingers crossed that all's well when it ends well.
