finally, more accessories made with my own hands
Tweet
I keep a couple of precious boxes on a shelf, filled with beads, stones, chains and other jewelry paraphernalia. Waiting for that day when I'll have to sit at my sunny little table and tinker. A day that never comes. Except today I organized my fairly large collection of dangling accessories in a hurry and realized I was deeply uninspired by its entirety. Fresh blood from presents counts high, but is hardly ever casual and THAT GOOD a taste match, so here I went, down the shiny path of making my own again. Anger is a powerful muse. The top left necklace combines a gold chain found in Barcelona with corals from Ninh Van Bay, Viet Nam and a soft rubber on fabric red rose I used to wear on my lapel. The bottom left necklace sets two former silver earrings and a large amethyst on a solid, yet thin silver chocker. And the necklace on the right side is the strangest mix yet: a shell from The Philippines next to a pearl earring found on Cleveland street next to a mother-of-pearl earring found at Lovebox next to a deconstructed earring from a three-piece set, lonely since I'd lost its pair after Jo's wedding. What more satisfying occupation while catching up with the Winter Olympics?
