off I go

Do personal affairs include bank cards? One card is blocked due to fraud (real, stupidly small, but still), and another—due to a perfectly proper online payment. TO ROMANIA. The land where each time I use a Barclays card, I'd better think twice: do I want it to work five minutes later and in the following days? Obviously NOT. However, before you cry for me, Internet, let me add: I do have A THIRD CARD. That must be luck.

oh, really?, originally uploaded by gorgeoux.

Do personal affairs include sleeping before catching a long-haul flight? A fortunate series of events (if you don't count THE OFFICE BURGLARY) has kept me on my toes the whole week and up all night. I wish I could blame the latter on frivolously trying endless bikini-pareo-sunnies combos, but it's only about running a business. Which rocks on, and has just helped me sleep like a baby in a few hours. Luck ate the jetlag!

finally, more accessories made with my own hands

I keep a couple of precious boxes on a shelf, filled with beads, stones, chains and other jewelry paraphernalia. Waiting for that day when I'll have to sit at my sunny little table and tinker. A day that never comes. Except today I organized my fairly large collection of dangling accessories in a hurry and realized I was deeply uninspired by its entirety. Fresh blood from presents counts high, but is hardly ever casual and THAT GOOD a taste match, so here I went, down the shiny path of making my own again. Anger is a powerful muse.

The top left necklace combines a gold chain found in Barcelona with corals from Ninh Van Bay, Viet Nam and a soft rubber on fabric red rose I used to wear on my lapel. The bottom left necklace sets two former silver earrings and a large amethyst on a solid, yet thin silver chocker. And the necklace on the right side is the strangest mix yet: a shell from The Philippines next to a pearl earring found on Cleveland street next to a mother-of-pearl earring found at Lovebox next to a deconstructed earring from a three-piece set, lonely since I'd lost its pair after Jo's wedding. What more satisfying occupation while catching up with the Winter Olympics?
