the paralympic torch relay
Tweet
We happened to attend a double meeting at Channel 4 this morning, cleverly booked, on their side, in a refurbished room with a known great vue of the spot where the Paralympic torch was going to change hands on the final leg of its relay towards the opening ceremony at the Olympic Park this evening. I won't be saying much about these games here, as I wasn't even aware of them until I volunteered for London 2012, and I find them, however endearing and noble, a telling quirk of the British culture that somehow became a successful export. But it was nice to have a better view of the torch, and much dryer than that of the small crowd gathered in front of the building. While getting work done.
